Cultivating Receptivity

I have had the pleasure of completing course work with Randine Lewis, author of The Infertility Cure and The Way of Fertile Soul, and I wanted to share a wonderful lecture that she recently gave on implantation and uterine receptivity. (click here to watch this free webinar).  There is such a fine, delicate balance between striving to achieve a goal but also remaining open and accepting towards the outcome.  Nothing can be more true when speaking about the fertility journey.  There is a natural tendency to 'contract' energetically (Randine uses the image of a clenched, grasping hand) when we want and yearn to have a child so badly.....and yet holding on so tightly is the opposite to the openness and energy of receptivity.  I encourage you to have a listen to the webinar to hear suggestions on how to work with establishing this balance within yourself.

One of Randine's final slides in her presentation is a beautiful photograph of a mountain with the lush green of a valley below, and she says..."instead of being the mountain, be the valley, so that all things will come to you".  What lovely imagery; rather than efforting to reach the peak, allow yourself to cultivate and rest in the richness of the valley.
